    Order 66: Plo Koon
            &
       Captain Jag

  A Reprieve and Murder

The Sky,
has always served as the respite before the fires and loss of combat.
For those brothers who reached a "Mission Complete" or were frantically airlifted out;
the air rushing over our bolstered wings, your tattered armor, your beaten skin.
The brothers in the sky over you, serve as your protectors.

Commander Jai'galaar,
has always served as an aggressive, steadfast, resolute ace of the skies.
For those on Geonosis, it was my ship, my missiles that supported your efforts on the ground.
The dessert sand blinded trooper's vision revealing only hues of blue and red while brothers fell silent across our comm channels.
I was the first to drop you in battle and I will not leave until that after its outcome is determined.

Katraassi,
has always reminded me of my failure.
For those planet side, it was a slaughter.
The air, filled with ash and remains laden with heavy smoke of smouldering death,
the ground pommeled into oblivion, covered in scattered debris, and fallen brethren.
It was my demotion.

Plo Koon,
has always taught me to push on.
The Jedi master raised me from the ash of my faults.
He cared, he understood, he knew us as individuals and as men.
He...was my target.

Cato Neimoidia,
has always been a hot bed of malcontent.
The gold bar carrying the only weight this system has a care for.
Our second attack here was a stalemate, but once we clear the air, nothing will stop the armies advance.
My promotion, my reprieve, my shame.

A tally which serves my squad with distinction in a new regime, yet another of my failures.

------------------------  Master Plo  --------------------------------

Weaving through and beneath the shining arches of this once great planet,
my heart and mind find peace that this war has past its brink.
This struggle senses that its life nears an end.
Unlike a feral creature its last strikes are not blind, crazed by desperation.
Only in its last moments has the purpose become clear.

Our annihilation..

I take refuge in the force as my sensors go off; stabilizers lost, damage critical.
Little Ahsoka, untouched by the knightfall that silences our order.
Be strong.
As the flames engulf my body, my last thought is of you padawan.
How proud you have made me.
In leaving the order, you preserved us all.

Like your darkest hours, the republic will fall.
There are always the few who preserve the glimmer of hope.
That spark is yours to carry.
This was a request which was sent to me by zang-zip!

Thank you so much for sending such a well thought out note. This was a difficult writing prompt!

Hopefully I did it justice! This was by far one of my harder pieces since Jag is a seldom written about. I couldn't think of a poetic style that flowed so I kept Jag regimented as opposed to Plo which had more flow. Haven't done one of these in awhile so thanks for inspiring me back to work!

I love Master Plo and his relationship to Ahsoka in the CW series.

Let me know what yall think! :) Love to know how to improve or keep on going.

Thanks for stopping in!

Noice! Love the imagery, both physical and metaphorical. I'd say you captured the struggles and feelings of these characters really well! Really loved how Plo made his peace here.

Order 66 is deliciously vague. Some material suggests that it's a sleeper agent implant, others that it's purely voluntary. But either way, I think both ends can exist, whether separately or simultaneously.
